The Power of Hard: My 75Hard Experience

75hard and the power of resilience

In 2022, I made a decision that would change the trajectory of my health, mindset, and business: I completed 75Hard, a mental toughness program created by Andy Frisella. Since then, I’ve chosen to do one hard challenge every single year—including something called the Misogi, a Japanese word meaning “reset.” These annual commitments have become a cornerstone of how I approach life and leadership.

The Results of 75Hard and HardLife

Completing 75Hard forced me to push past limiting beliefs and distill down what was possible for me. The results were undeniable:

  • Clearer thinking

  • A stronger body

  • More determination

  • A belief that I can do anything I commit to

After finishing 75Hard, I went on to complete HardLife, another program designed to stretch the mind and body. HardLife included cold showers, daily tasks, and performing random acts of kindness for strangers. Each requirement demanded consistency and presence—and in the process, I discovered that structure and discipline are actually the foundation of freedom.

From Challenge to Lifestyle

The effects of these programs weren’t temporary. Today, I work out seven days a week, consistently. I’ve improved my overall health in measurable ways—including bone density—and I’ve strengthened my metabolic health while navigating and overcoming two near-cancer diagnoses. These were investigations for cancer, and I was cleared. By making my wellbeing non-negotiable, I built habits that continue to pay dividends.

Alongside the workouts, I’ve learned that getting regular checkups, doing annual blood tests, and supplementing with the right vitamins and minerals are critical for long-term health. Proper hydration and adequate sleep aren’t optional—they’re necessities. These fundamentals compound, just like consistent effort in business, to create resilience and lasting results.

Why I Recommend 75Hard

I recommend 75Hard to anyone ready to level up.

You can see the rules directly from the creator here.

Do not settle for any other program or imitation.

The rules are simple but uncompromising: download the free app, adhere to the program, and complete every task without straying.

If you miss one thing, you start over.

The beauty of the system is that it forces accountability.

It’s not about perfection—it’s about relentless commitment.

When you treat your health and discipline as a priority, you empower yourself to build a stronger business, create deeper relationships, and live with greater clarity. For me, putting workouts on autopilot freed up mental space to focus on growth. I know without a doubt that my business today is stronger because I chose to master myself first.

Misogi: A Japanese Reset

One of the hardest challenges I’ve taken on since 75Hard was the Misogi. Misogi is a Japanese practice rooted in the idea of a reset—doing something incredibly difficult that pushes the boundaries of what you think is possible.

My first Misogi experience took place here in Southern California at BK Headquarters with Bedros Kuilian, where we pushed our bodies to the limit for 12 hours straight. The experience included hiking up a mountain, pulling trucks, lifting weights, sliding through mud going uphill and ending with an ice-cold water immersion. The effect on my mind, body, and spirit was unforgettable. I walked away with a renewed sense of what it means to be resilient—and a deep reminder that we are capable of far more than we believe.

The Power of Choosing To Do Hard Things

Every year, I choose to do something hard because I know it will create breakthroughs in every area of life. It’s not just about fitness or physical strength—it’s about resetting the way you think, the way you lead, and the way you connect with others.

For me, these challenges have been the catalyst for:

  • Better health and longevity

  • Greater clarity in business decisions

  • Resilience in the face of setbacks

  • A stronger sense of purpose and discipline

  • Awareness of who I am
  • Knowing that the world of longevity and health are a journey

This is not just for men. Women are invited to challenge themselves by pushing to the limit—it’s for anyone who wants to become the best version of themselves.

So many times, your biggest breakthrough comes by taking a step into the unknown.

Today, 75Hard simply becomes a maintenance program for me. It keeps me in the rhythm of always pushing myself harder and faster.

That said, there are times where a person must focus on business and maintain everything else, including physical fitness.

2025-2026 are those seasons of focus in my life and business in building a business that will impact millions of lives.
